COMMENTS: Y10 - JUNE - GOALS / TARGETS 1=I would like to see #N become more assertive in class, asking for help when needed and participating in discussions. 2=Greater academic focus and a more assertive approach in class undoubtedly will bolster #h accomplishments. 3=Also, it would benefit #m greatly to become more involved in class discussions, where #e has the opportunity to raise issues and discuss #h views. 4=Next #TIME-PERIOD, I would like to see #m become more involved in class discussions and #e should also ask more questions to secure #h understanding if #e is in doubt. 5=#E should identify problems early, seek help and do the revision necessary to support #h learning. 6=Next #TIME-PERIOD, I would like to see #m focus on improving #h written work, giving the necessary detail when describing observations and writing explanations for such observations. 7=#E should approach me directly if #e experiences difficulties with the academic work. 8=#E should also ask more questions in class to secure #h understanding, if #e is in doubt. 9=Next #TIME-PERIOD, I would like to see #m become more involved in class discussions and #e should also ask more questions to secure #h understanding if #e is in doubt. 10=Asking and answering questions is also essential, if good progress is to be made. 11=If good progress is to be made next term #e will need to keep building on #h knowledge and support this with effective revision. 12=Taking the lead in practical work will develop skills that are assessed as part of the course. 13=#N must guard against distractions in class and focus more on the task at hand. 14=#N must ask more questions in class to ensure that #e understands completely what is required of #m. 15=Next term it is important to build on this platform by confidently and happily applying #s to all the homework tasks, mastering all assignments and thoroughly revising for tests. 16=#E should now look to develop #h group work skills so #e can learn how to express #h own ideas and listen to those of others. 17=Such advice at this stage would be to make sure homework is handed in on time, writing detailed notes on the work presented to #h and studying hard for topic tests. 18=#E seems to enjoy the subject and I am sure it will benefit #m greatly to do more background reading on the topics we cover in class. 19=With greater attention to #h written work, #e could avoid making most of the errors that #e does make and #e would then achieve even better results. COMMENTS: Y10 - JUNE - HOMEWORK RECORD 1=So far #h homework record is unblemished, and #e should do #h best to ensure this trend continues. 2=#E works well with other class members and is conscientious about #h assignments and homework. 3=#H Chemistry workbook is well organised and homework is #FREQUENCY handed in on time, showing #ATTITUDE approach towards #h academic work. 4=Unfortunately, the quality and reliability of #h classwork, homework and assessments have not got off to a good start. 5=Unfortunately, at times, homework assignments this #TIME-PERIOD have #FREQUENCY been neglected, and this is something #e really needs to improve in future, as it will pull #h grades down. 6=Unfortunately #e has not submitted more than one piece of homework and this is worrying. #E needs to quickly reverse this trend, with better organisation and time management, before it becomes a habit. 7=Unfortunately, #e hasn't submitted one or more homework assignments, and this is something #e really needs to avoid in future, as it will pull #h grades down. COMMENTS: Y10 - JUNE - IN CLASS PARTICIPATION 1=Next year, #e should continue to answers questions thoughtfully an carry out all practical work carefully & accurately. 2=Next year, I would like to see #N become more assertive in class, asking for help when needed and participating in discussions more. 3=I would still like to see #N more involved in class discussions, where #e has the opportunity to raise issues and discuss #h views. 4=I would like to see #m become more involved in class discussions and #e should also ask more questions to secure #h understanding if #e is in doubt. 5=Throughout the year #e has been #FREQUENCY willing to contribute answers and start discussions, but when necessary, #e needs to remember to remain focused too, and avoid going off on tangents. 6=With increased verbal contribution and a more assertive approach in class, #e will undoubtedly bolster #h accomplishments in the years to come. 7=#E has participated constructively and enthusiastically in class activities this year, however on occasion, #e has struggled a bit with some of the concepts presented to #h. 8=In class #e seems happy to take a back seat and avoid contributing if possible. This is something that #e needs to work on next year. COMMENTS: Y10 - JUNE - INTRO SENTENCE 1=#N continues to do well in Chemistry. 2=#N has used #h intelligence to achieve much of #h potential in Chemistry this year, but there is room for improvement. 3=It is clear that #N has much latent potential, which #e is not yet achieving. 4=#N has approached all aspects of Chemistry with interest and enthusiasm this year. 5=#N has made good progress this year and has impressed me with #h serious minded approach to the subject. 6=#N has made good progress this year and has provided much evidence that #e has the ability to cope with learning at this level. 7=It has been a pleasure to teach #N this year, #e is #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR, #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR and #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR. 8=#N is #STUDENTABILITY student who is #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR, #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR and #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR in class. 9=#N is a #ATTITUDE student who has submitted work #IS-DEGREE. 10=#N has handled challenges in the Chemistry class with a great deal of maturity and calm. 11=#N is #STUDENTABILITY student who has produced #EXTENT work throughout the year. 12=#N has settled down nicely in Chemistry this year and has worked hard to catch up the various topics covered throughout. 13=#N is making progress in Chemistry, but there is room for further improvement. 14=#N finds the Chemistry course content slightly challenging at this stage, but hard work and perseverance will pay off. 15=#N has clearly been finding it hard to show #h potential in Chemistry. This is encouraging to see and hopefully something that continues. 17=I am a little worried about #N as #h attainment and general focus in class appears to be decreasing. This is a trend #e needs to address now as next year there will be no time. COMMENTS: Y9 - NOV - GOALS / TARGETS 1=I would like to see #N become more assertive in class, asking for help when needed and participating in discussions. 15=I would encourage #N to work on #h organisational skills, as improving these will help #m across all #h subjects. 20=When the teacher is speaking to the students, #e should always have #h camera on, this demonstrates politeness as well as the fact that #e is paying attention. COMMENTS: Y9 - NOV - HOMEWORK RECORD 1=So far #h homework record is unblemished, and #e should do #h best to ensure this trend continues. COMMENTS: Y9 - NOV - IN CLASS PARTICIPATION 1=In class, #e answers questions thoughtfully and carries out practical work carefully & accurately. 2=#H sense of curiosity and avid determination to grasp the concepts discussed in class are invaluable traits. 3=#E has shown good group work when doing experiments and #STUDENTABILITY attitude in class. 4=I would like to see #N become more assertive in class, asking for help when needed and participating in discussions. 5=It would benefit #m greatly to become more involved in class discussions, where #e has the opportunity to raise issues and discuss #h views. 6=I would like to see #m become more involved in class discussions and #e should also ask more questions to secure #h understanding if #e is in doubt. 7=#E should identify problems early, seek help and do the revision necessary to support #h learning. 8=#E is #FREQUENCY willing to contribute answers and start discussions, but when necessary, #e needs to remember to remain focused too, and avoid going off on tangents. 9=With increased verbal contribution and a more assertive approach in class, #e will undoubtedly bolster #h accomplishments. 10=#E participates constructively and enthusiastically in class activities, however on occasion, #e has struggled a bit with some of the concepts presented to #h. 11=In class #e seems happy to take a back seat and avoid contributing if possible. This is something that #e needs to work on if #e is to get more from the subject. COMMENTS: Y9 - NOV - INTRO SENTENCE 1=#N is a very bright student who shows great potential in Chemistry. 2=#N is an intelligent pupil with lots of potential in Chemistry. 3=It is clear that #N has much latent potential. 4=#N is a soft-spoken, gentle student who has endeavoured to produce a high standard of work in Chemistry this #TIME-PERIOD. 5=#N has approached all aspects of Chemistry with interest and enthusiasm. 6=#N has made a good start to Year 9 and has impressed me with #h serious approach to the lessons. 7=It has been a pleasure to teach #N this #TIME-PERIOD, #e is #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR, #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR and #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR. 8=#N is #STUDENTABILITY student who is #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR, #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR and #STUDENTDESCRIPTOR in class. 9=#N is a #ATTITUDE student who's submitted work #IS-DEGREE. 10=#N has handled challenges in the Chemistry class with a great deal of maturity and calm. 11=#N has made a good start to the Year 9 Chemistry course and has provided much evidence that #e has the ability to cope with learning at this level. 12=#N is #STUDENTABILITY student who produced #EXTENT work. 13=#N has settled down well into the Year 9 Chemistry class this term and has worked hard to understand the various topics. 14=#N is making progress in Chemistry, but there is room for further improvement. 15=#N finds the Chemistry course content slightly challenging at this stage. 16=#N has clearly been finding it hard to show #h potential in Chemistry. 17=#N has made good progress in the first half of the term. 18=#N has adapted well to the routine of virtual learning. 19=#N appears to have had a productive start to the first term. COMMENTS: Y9 - NOV - LABS 1=Having a natural ability in Chemistry, #N is very quick to grasp new concepts and has no trouble in applying #h excellent understanding in more practical scenarios. 2=#E often takes a lead during practical and class activities and others seem to look to #h for guidance. 3=#E takes #h lab work seriously, which ensures good results as well as #h well-being. 4=#E has a careful and methodical approach to practical work which yields good results. 5=#E is an enthusiastic and sociable student who enjoys the practical and interactive aspects of Chemistry. 6=#E needs to take a slightly more serious approach to lab work, and choose partners that #e will obtain good results with rather than have a good time with. 7=#E initially appeared quite nervous about handling equipment in the lab, but now #e confidently carries out practical work, both individually and as part of a team. 8=#E enjoys practical work, but shouldn't forget aspects of safety, and avoid working with friends that #e is going to be less than serious with. 9=#E must recall that labs are potentially hazardous places where safety protocols must be adhered to at all times, for #h own well-being and that of others. COMMENTS: Y9 - NOV - RESULTS SO FAR 1=#H results indicate that #e has a #EXTENT awareness of the topics covered this term. 2=#N's attainment thus far has been #EXTENT, but nonetheless #h grades can always be improved upon. 3=#H admirable Chemistry results reflect #h industrious approach to #h work. 4=#N's test score is good, #h Course Grade suggests that #e needs to improve on other aspects such as homework assignments and class discussions 5=#H attainment in topic tests and homework assignments is disconcerting at this early stage, and I encourage #m to work much harder in this subject. 6=#H homework and test scores have been generally good; however, there is certainly room for improvement. 7=I do feel that #N's attainment in the subject could be improved with a little more academic focus and hard work.
