Well done. 2=All in all, this has been a very positive start and I look forward to continued effort and application when we restart again in the New Year. Well done! 3=All in all, this has been an encouraging term of effort and application in the geography classroom and I have been very pleased with what has been achieved. 4=Generally, this has been a good term of work and progress and I look forward to continued effort and enthusiasm throughout the new year. 5=Generally, this has been a positive term of work and progress, but I would like to see greater determination and application over this coming term, as I would like to see a focus on lifting #h standard of performance up to the next academic level. 6=Generally, this has been a positive term of work and progress, but I would like to see greater determination and application over this coming term, as it will be a vital period of course revision and exam preparation. 7=Generally, this has been a satisfactory term, but I do feel that #e could achieve even better results. With this in mind, I will be looking for more effort and determination during the Spring Term, as we embark on the crucial revision process as we build up to the Summer exams. 8=#N has a very important term ahead, as we approach the end of the GCSE course and start the revision process. #E must return in January fully prepared to work hard and with a determined maturity. A productive and determined Spring Term will have a significant positive effect on the final grade achieved in the Summer. 9=Next term promises to be a decisive period of work, with the course coming to an end and the revision process beginning in earnest. It is vital that #N has all #h notes organised, complete and available, so that there are no delays or issues when we start reviewing material. 10=Generally, this has been a positive term of work and progress in the classroom, however I still feel there is still room for improvement and I will be looking for a little more effort and determination when we restart in the New Year. 11=Generally, this has been a positive term of work and progress in the classroom, however I still feel there is still room for improvement and I will be looking for a little more effort and determination when we restart in the New Year. COMMENTS: Exam Autumn 1=#H exam performance was a splendid effort. It clearly showed that everything we have covered so far in class has been understood and that a lot of effective revision had been completed. 2=#H exam result was a very pleasing effort with the vast majority of questions answered maturely and correctly. This positive performance bodes well for future academic results in this subject area. 3=#H examination result was very encouraging as it showed a solid level of understanding and reasonable examination techniques. With continued effort and application #h long term prospects in this subject area are looking good. 4=#H exam performances were very encouraging and it confirmed that #N is clearly understanding the material we have covered so far and that adequate revision had be done in the weeks prior to the examination. 5=This was a slightly disappointing examination results. Generated from this performance there are some important lessons to learn about the amount of preparation that is required in order to perform to a satisfactory level. When the next set of exams happen in the Summer, the revision undertaken, needs to be more comprehensive and effective. 6=In the end of term examinations #N achieved a slightly below par result. From this performance it is clear that a more effective style of revision was needed and this important lesson must be learnt for the next round of examinations. The result achieved by any pupil, is all about the quality of the preparation. 7=#H exam performance was a reasonable effort, with some strong areas of knowledge and understanding, however, there were also a few sections where marks were lost and there was evidence that inadequate revision had been done in these topic areas. 8=The end of term exam performance was satisfactory. A higher score would have been achieved with more care in the exam and perhaps a more thorough period of revision of the required topics. 9=This was a mixed performance in the examination papers. There ware some very capable answers alongside some rather sketchy attempts. This paper exposed some spaces in #h revision, rather than a lack of understanding. A more thorough period of revision will be required for the next set of examinations. COMMENTS: Exam level 1=Examination Result xx% Class Average 59% New GCSE Level Achieved #LEVELACHIEVED COMMENTS: Exam level 18 1=Examination Result xx% Class Average xx% New GCSE Level Achieved COMMENTS: Exam Result 1=A superb examination result was achieved by #N and it was a pleasure to see so many well constructed and knowledgeable answers. #E should delighted with this result and should be aiming to continue in this style next year. 2=This was a very encouraging result in the end of term examination and I was pleased that clearly some effective revision had been undertaken. A little more detail and content in a few areas however would have improved on this result, but generally, this was a strong performance to end the School year on. 3=I was very pleased to mark #h exam paper as it showed that a lot of revision had been done and #e was able to deal with all the questions effectively. This effective approach to exam preparation is to be praised and encouraged for all future tests and exams. Well done. 4=#H examination paper was somewhat mixed. There were some strong areas with well constructed and comprehensive answers, however there were some weaker parts where #e displayed a lack of information and clear understanding. I think this mixed performance was mostly due to a lack of necessary revision and this is something to learn from for future tests and exams. I feel #e is capable of a better performance and this is something to aim for. 5=In the end of term examination, I was a little disappointed with #h overall performance. There were too many sketchy answers and a basic lack of knowledge. There is much to do next term and it is vital that #e are fully engaged in the revision process which will start in the New Year. 6=In the end of term examination #e performed reasonably in some areas of the paper, but there were too many weak answers on display to achieve a better grade. Preparation, rather than ability, is the issue here and hopefully an important lesson has be learnt. 7=In the end of term examination #e performed with great credit and displayed both a good knowledge and a careful technique when dealing with the set questions. 8=In the end of term examination #e performed with credit and displayed a sound collection of map skills and a suitable amount of care and understanding. 9=In the end of term examination #e achieved an encouraging result which showed good map skills and understanding. A little more care with accuracy would have helped to score a better grade, but it was pleasing to see the correct methods had been used. 10=In the end of term examination it was good to see some well answered questions, however a few questions were below par and this dragged down the overall score. I am sure this performance will prove to be a useful learning experience and similar errors will be less likely when the next round of exams take place. 11=In the end of term examination #e answered the majority of the questions well, with only a few weak areas exposed. Perhaps this result highlights the need for better preparation and this will be something to consider for the next round of examinations. COMMENTS: Spring part 2 2019 1=I have been particularly encouraged with the quality of #h written work and the general presentation of set tasks when working in the classroom. This careful approach to work is to be congratulated and encouraged. 2=#N produced a particularly impressive piece of work on The Shackleton Timeline. This work displayed both care and understanding and achieved a Geography Red as a reward. 3=During lessons, #N participates positively and contributes with thoughtful and relevant points of interest. This is a positive attribute to display in the classroom and I hope this trend continues over the coming years. 4=In the end of unit test on the weather topic #e scored a very creditable xxx, which reflects both a solid understanding and an appropriate level of revision had been undertaken. 5=In the end of unit test on weather, #N scored a solid xx which displayed reasonable knowledge and reliable examination techniques. 6=In the end of unit test on the topic of weather, #N scored xxx. This result was a little under average and highlights the issue of preparation. The lesson to be learnt here is that higher levels of revision will be required for the next assessment. COMMENTS: Spring Term part 3 2019 1=As a target, I would like #N to remain focused in the classroom and keep the effort levels up. With this style of approach, I will be very hopeful of a creditable end of year examination performance. Well done! 2=As a target, I would like #N to keep pushing up #h standards of presentation and depth of written answers, so that the best possible habits are developed in time for the Summer exams. 3=It would be a good target for #N to regularly read over #h class notes, so that preparation for the summer exams is a long and thorough process and not a rushed affair. 4=The Summer Term examinations will be quite demanding, and with this in mind, I would suggest regular reading of class notes should be carried out over the Easter break. A bit of extra work over the holiday will make a significant positive difference to the final grade achieved. 5=The end of year examination will cover quite a bit of material and I would recommend that #N looks over these topics a few times during the Easter break, so that this information is refreshed. There is also a lot of useful revision material available on the Loretto VLE. COMMENTS: Summer conclusion 1=Very well done on an excellent year of work and progress and I look forward to continues diligence when we all return in September. Enjoy a well earned rest. 2=This has been a splendid year of work and effort and I congratulate #m of this positive approach to #h geographical studies. Well done! 3=All in all, this has been a successful term, concluded with a fine examination result. At this half way stage, everything is looking positive. The challenge for the new academic year is to keep working well and maintain this creditable standard. Well done! 4=All in all this has been a very encouraging year of work and with continued effort and determination I look forward to further success in 2018/19. Well done! 5=All in all this has been a reasonable term of work and progress, but it would be fair to say that looking at the end of term examination, there is a need to aim a little higher and I will be working towards this target when we return in September. COMMENTS: Summer exam result 1=The summer examination result achieved by #N was very impressive and it was a delight to see so many well constructed and thoughtful answers. #E should be very proud of this result and #e should aim to continue in this approach next year. 2=This was a very encouraging performance in the end of term examination and I was happy that it was clear that some very effective revision had been done. A little more detail and factual content in a few areas would have improved on this result, but generally, this was a strong performance to end the school year on. 3=I was very pleased to mark #h examination paper as it showed that a lot of revision had been done and that #e was able to answer all the questions effectively using sound exam technique. This hard working approach to exam preparation is to be praised and I encourage #m to apply this method for all future tests and exams. Well done. 4=#H examination paper was somewhat a mixed affair. There were some strong areas with well constructed and comprehensive answers, however there were some weaker areas where #e displayed a lack of information and understanding. I think this mixed performance was due to a primarily to a lack of appropriate revision and this is something to learn from for future tests and exams. 5=The examination result was a little disappointing with several parts of the paper proving difficult for #N. I suspect that #h level of preparation was not good enough and this needs to be addressed when the next round of exams approach. COMMENTS: Summer exam result 18 1=The summer examination result achieved by #N was very impressive and it was a delight to see so many well constructed and thoughtful answers. #E should be very proud of this result and #e should aim to continue at this level next year. 2=This was a very encouraging performance in the end of term examination as it displayed that it was clear that some very effective revision had been done. This hard working approach to exam preparation is to be praised and I encourage #m to apply this method for all future tests and exams. Working at this level throughout the 5th Form would be a very positive investment that would surely pay dividens. 4=#H examination paper was a bit of a rollercoaster. There were some strong areas with well constructed and comprehensive answers, however there were some weaker areas where #e displayed a lack of information recall and understanding. I think this mixed performance was primarily due to a lack of the appropriate exam techniques and this is something to learn from for future tests and exams. 5=The examination result was a little below par, with several parts of the paper proving difficult for #N. For the next round of exams in the 5th Form we need to make sure that enough effective revision is done and performance levels are raised. 6=This examination performance was a little disappointing, as it was clear that an inadequate amount of revision and preparation had been done during the build up. This is something to learn from and avoid when the next round of examinations come around.
