Over the year students have been developing critical thinking skills, conceptual thinking, and worked on the development of valid arguments when discussing complex issues of metacognition. COMMENTS: TOK End of May2 1=#N is a very enthusiastic and active student, always offering new perspectives on the knowledge issues discussed. Since the start of the course, #N has further enhanced #h critical and conceptual thinking, and is able now to develop a clear and convincing argument when writing #h TOK reflections. 2=#N is a knowledgeable student and #h insightful comments are always appreciated by #h peers and myself. In #h latest TOK Reflections, #N demonstrated the ability to develop a clear argument, yet #e still needs to formulate #h claims and counterclaims in a more inclusive way. 3=This will help #h to deepen the results of #h synthesis. In #h TOK reflections, the claims #N makes are now clearly stated, albeit not fully explored and the examples are very well suited the argument #e makes. This is an important skills to develop as reflecting on what #e understands after each lesson will allow #N to pose questions in subsequent lessons and build #h knowledge. 3=#N comes to class on time and uses most of the lesson effectively. There needs to be an improvement in this area to ensure that #N and the pupils around #m are focused on the work covered through out each lesson. 4=#N is starting to settle into the expectations of the class. #N needs to focus all of #h energy into the work set, listening carefully to instructions and completing them quickly and to a high standard. I have also seen #N working well in small group situations, often taking a leading role at these times. 2=#E makes some good contributions to class discussions and this helps to identify misconceptions when the occur.
